Next up is my wonderful Guest Designer for Flashback Friday 8.0:

Karin!!!!

 Hi!

  I'm Karin Ã…kesdotter (Peppermintpatty) with my dear husband Mikael and wonderful son Ted:

 I have been doing arts and crafts, sewing, drawing, painting, papercrafting etc. etc. for as long as I can remember - driving my mum crazy with new projects every day!   So it was no surprise that I chose that path for my career and studied arts and crafts with a focus on textiles for 5 years at a university and have now been teaching textile crafts/needle work for 15 years ( 0-: - time flies).

It was not until last August that I began blogging about my papercrafting. It all started when I saw a cute little altered birdhouse at our local scrapbooking store and went home to see if I could find a template on the internet.  I hit something called Papertrey Ink and a whole new world of bloghops, challenges, color cues etc. opened up to me.   I think I entered my first challenge in late August 2010 and screamed with delight after getting my first comment (HI and thanks Amy Kolling if you're reading this (-:) and after that I was TOTALLY hooked!!!

So my suggestion for this month's challenge is:

***First 3D project ever***

Here's my birdhouse:

Woooooooo hoooooooooo for Karin....good grief could that bird house be any c-u-t-e-r??!!!!

Such a fun challenge....3 D projects.....I can't wait to see what you all share....

Here's mine:

This is a project that posted in November 2007...I think that peeps really didn't notice my altered tin, but were more interested in the Haiku Bunny image:)  Pretty sure I haven't inked it up since...2007...haha....

Anywho's back to the 3 D project, it was my first altered altoid tin and ugh, check out my snazzy cutting {not to mention the photog}...YIPES..makes me C-R-I-N-G-E...a little giftie set for my Momma...the tin was filled with Starbucks cards...she gets them every year for her birthday and Christmas...might sound boring but the woman goes there 7 days a week!  {this is where I insert that my coffee addiction comes naturally...I blame my Momma....okay so she sits in Starbucks for a couple hours and nurses 1 cup of drip {maybe if she's living on the edge she'll have 2 cups} and reads her book....me on the other hand would have probably slugged down SEVERAL cups of drip in a couple hours...}

Okay....show us what you got!!!!!

I forgot to comment on Amy's and Karin's projects earlier! I that that owl-occupied birdhouse is just the sweetest, and Amy's altered tin is such a great idea. I love the idea of giving something a whole new look and/or purpose just by disguising it with fun papers and embellies. :)

Hi Amy! I just stumbled upon your AWESOME challenge site and I'm totally diggin' it! Do the projects have to be posted on your blog somewhere? Or can they be old stuff that was made before entering blogland? I haven't been blogging very long. I would have loads more to share if it can be something that has yet to grace my blog.

I can't wait to participate! {Unfortunately it won't be this challenge. Would you believe I've never made a 3D project? Shame! Shame!}
